Presentation scheduled for annual conference of BC Psychiatric Association
PSSD Canada is happy to announce we will be collaborating with Dr. Caroline Pukall of Queen’s University to create a presentation to be shown at the annual conference of the British Columbia Psychiatric Association (BCPA) on November 21st 2020.
Conference Agenda: https://ubccpd.ca/course/bcpa2020
Dr. Pukall is a PhD in psychology at the Sexual Health Research Lab at Queen’s University, Ontario: https://www.sexlab.ca/
She is currently researching Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder (PGAD) which can also result from SSRI treatment. She is educated on the current literature on PSSD and interested in looking into the disorder further. The presentation will cover both PGAD and PSSD.
Raising awareness of PSSD within the medical community is one of the major goals of PSSD Canada. We are delighted to have this opportunity to communicate our experiences and concerns to the foremost professional association of psychiatrists in British Columbia.
Many thanks to Dr. Alan Bates, president of the BCPA, for extending an invitation to Dr. Pukall.
